Cookie Policy

Cookies, consent, and analytics are kept separate.

Necessary storage supports the website and consent choices. Paddle checkout is payment functionality. Google Analytics 4 is optional Analytics only and loads only after Analytics consent.

The goal here is clarity without overstatement. The site has a consent foundation and may load Google Analytics 4 only after Analytics consent. Paddle checkout/payment functionality is separate from optional Analytics and Marketing. The site does not load Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, newsletter tracking, affiliate tracking backend, donation tracking, or marketing tracking tools.

Current cookie and storage use

The Pawsitive Family uses necessary technical storage for basic website operation, security, session or CSRF behavior where Laravel needs it, and remembering cookie preferences.

The cookie consent preference may be stored locally in the browser so the site can remember whether a visitor accepted, rejected, or customized non-essential categories.

Necessary

Necessary storage is always enabled because it supports basic website behavior, operational security, and the consent preference itself.

This category cannot be switched off through the cookie settings panel. Operational or security logs are not the same as optional analytics tracking.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is Analytics only. It may be used only after a visitor accepts Analytics in the cookie preferences.

Analytics is optional and disabled unless accepted. If enabled, GA4 helps understand aggregated website usage, such as which pages are visited and how the public site is generally used.

If Analytics is rejected or no preference has been saved, GA4 is not loaded.

Paddle checkout and payment functionality

Paddle checkout may load on the Pawsitive Products page when the owned digital product purchase path is available. Paddle checkout/payment functionality is used to open checkout and process an owned digital product purchase.

Paddle checkout is payment functionality, not optional Analytics or Marketing tracking. Paddle may use its own necessary checkout, security, tax, fraud-prevention, payment, or transaction technologies according to Paddle checkout terms and privacy information.

Cookie-free links page attribution

The /links and /hr/links social entry pages do not use cookies, localStorage, Google Analytics 4, pixels, tag managers, Hotjar, or third-party tracking scripts.

Those pages may use minimal internal server-side event logging to understand which social source or link generated interest. This logging is event-based and does not create a persistent visitor profile.

The links attribution log does not store full IP addresses, full user agents, fingerprints, visitor IDs, session IDs, or user IDs.

Marketing

Marketing is a future-ready category for possible pixels, campaign tools, embedded media, or affiliate-related tools.

Marketing is disabled by default, and no marketing tools are loaded in this sprint. The site currently does not use Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, advertising pixels, newsletter tracking, affiliate tracking backend, donation tracking, or other marketing tracking scripts.

Changing preferences

Visitors can use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the preferences panel and update their choice.

Browser settings may also allow visitors to review, block, or delete local storage and cookies directly.
